“Making this year’s Inc. 500 list is certainly another milestone for uShip,” said Matt Chasen, CEO and founder of uShip. “The incredibly strong year-over-year revenue growth we’ve experienced domestically since 2006 has not only strengthened our U.S. market share but also allowed us to grow aggressively on a global basis, including the U.K., Germany, and Australia, as well as other Western European countries to come.”
Since 2004, uShip has provided one of the most eco-friendly solutions to transport and shipping, an industry that’s historically been an enormous contributor to global emissions. By using uShip, people are often filling extra space in delivery vehicles already making the trip, resulting in fewer excess trucks on the road and more affordable delivery costs. To date, 210 million miles have been offset by transporters on uShip.
This year’s list measures revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. To qualify, companies had to be US-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent as of Dec. 31, 2009. Inc. 500 companies represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000. To view the full Inc. 500 list, visit http://www.inc5000.com
