uShip to Kick-Off ‘Help on Wheels’ Summer Tour by Delivering ‘Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains’ Charity Auction Items

uShip’s Help on Wheels 40-foot, RV-style cargo vehicle begins its west coast swing by distributing memorabilia and props from the set of popular reality TV show, Surivivor. The Help on Wheels’ three-month tour is designed to provide charitable shipments for non-profits and foundations in need of free local delivery.

(Vocus/PRWEB ) May 24, 2010 — When Help on Wheels, the charitable shipment vehicle of uShip, begins its inaugural nationwide summer tour on June 1, it will have some high-profile cargo on board: memorabilia and props from the set of long-running reality TV series, Survivor: Heroes and Villains. The items, currently available through an eBay Charity Auction, include the immunity idol, tribal flags, contestant torches, and even the urn that held contestants’ secret votes.

uShip’s Help on Wheels vehicle is making charitable shipments for non-profits this summer.

Help on Wheels’ three-month tour is designed to provide charitable shipments for non-profits and foundations in need of free local delivery. When not lending a helping hand, Help on Wheels Ambassadors will attend popular festivals and sporting events, all the while documenting and sharing the trip experience through social media. Help on Wheels is the official flagship vehicle of Highway to Help, uShip’s charitable shipments program that provides free or low cost delivery to those in need.

This marks the second time uShip has sponsored shipping for a Survivor Charity Auction on eBay. Earlier this year, uShip facilitated delivery of over 75 items purchased through the Survivor: Samoa charity auction, which raised $137,000 for The Serpentine Project, the Foundation of Survivor producer and host Jeff Probst. The Samoa charity auction saw final bid prices up by as much as 15-20 percent compared to past auctions, in part due to free shipping being offered through uShip.

“Once again, The Serpentine Project is so thankful for uShip’s generosity and participation in our fundraiser,” said Probst. “We have some great pieces up for auction, and by offering free shipping through uShip to winning bidders, we can maximize the proceeds that go to support age-out foster care youth. We greatly appreciate uShip’s continued support.”

The auction is being managed on eBay by Auction Cause, a premier cause marketing agency specializing in high profile events for brands, celebrities, and nonprofits.
