A&E Network in the U.S. is set to debut a 10-episode series on the world of heavy-duty movers with the Megalomedia series Shipping Wars.
Beginning on January 10 at 9 p.m. EST, the series follows six independent shippers as they battle for the chance to transport ‘the unshippable,’ from oversized loads and bulky packages to bizarre delivery requests.
Shipping Wars begins with a bidding war at uShip, the world’s largest online auction house for independent truckers, where thousands of shipments are put up for auction.
The cast includes rookie haulers, which includes Jennifer Brennan, who has shipped everything from a water buffalo to a million-dollar ferrari, to seasoned veterans, and couple Scott and Suzanne Bawcom. The Bawcoms run their shipping business together, with former bomb squad specialist Scott hauling shipments across the country, while Suzanne is busy with bidding and booking the loads.
The series is executive produced by Jonathan Nowzarada, while co-executive producers are Tom Mireles, Jeff Keels and Graham Davidson. A&E executive producers are David McKillop, Elaine Frontain Bryant and Neil A. Cohen.
