A&E’s ‘Shipping Wars’ Returns June 11 with uShip in Tow

AUSTIN, Texas – June 3, 2013 – The Season 4 premiere of A&E’s original real-life series “Shipping Wars” airs Tuesday, June 11 at 10/9c – and online freight marketplace uShip will again reprise its featured role as the source of loads, transporters and bidding technology.

If you aren’t familiar with “Shipping Wars”, it paints the transportation industry in a rather unorthodox light, including over-the-road drama, dilemmas, odd shipments and demanding customers, not your run-of-mill, secured, safely-from-A-to-B loads that people typically see on uShip. In fact, customers report 98 percent positive feedback when they use uShip to move cars, boats, motorcycles, equipment, freight, pianos, furniture, household goods and more.

Not only do “Shipping Wars” regulars Marc, Jarrett, Jennifer, Roy, Chris and Robbie bid against and bash on each other in Season 4, they’ll also face three new teams of independent transporters: newbies Courtney and Chelsea, Johnny, and Kourtney and Tish, all who try to hold their own in drama-filled bidding wars and prove that the “Shipping Wars” rookies know what they’re doing.

The hard-knock shipping life is ever present in “Shipping Wars” Season 4. The real-time drama of unorthodox shipments, bidding wars between transporters and the screwball adventures associated with delivering a load are all present. Expect to see a resurgence of old rivalries between returning cast members as well as new-found squabbles with the new cast.

In the season premiere episode at 10pm, Jarrett books a load of monkeys and learns the truth behind the phrase “never work with kids or animals.” Marc’s patience vanishes into thin air when he drives cross-country to deliver a load to Atlantic City for a Las Vegas magician. In episode 2, Chris and Robbie convert one of their rigs to run on vegetable oil and scramble to find fuel on a cross-country haul. Roy tries to help his son Travis break into the hauling business, but it turns out Travis’ girlfriend isn’t the problem.
